The College of Business recently formed a Business Alumni
Association for graduates, former students or persons who have
an interest in the College of Business.
"The purpose of the association is to promote the welfare,
interests and excellence of the College of Business," said
Dr. Paula Ruby, faculty liaison and assistant professor of decision
sciences.
According to Ruby, the dean of the College of Business developed
the association.
"Currently, the association has about 30 members. We
are seeking active involvement of members in supporting such
activities as the Conference on Lessons in Leadership, Economic
Outlook Conference, the second annual Emerald Gala, an evening
of dance to support scholarships for the College of Business
and the second annual Scholarship Golf Scramble," Ruby said.
There is no set meeting time for the association. Meetings
are held on an as needed basis, according to Ruby. The dues for
membership are $12 annually.
If anyone is interested in joining the association please
contact the College of Business or call Mary Helen Peters at
972-1957.
