Men arrested for public intoxication

- Construction Network, Inc., the football stadium
construction company, reported the theft of a camera, saw and
laser stick. The laser stick was later found on the side of Stadium
Blvd,
Monday, Oct. 29, 2001
- Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Dean
Street to deal with a disturbance caused by a block-up of vehicles,
where a Pontiac Grand Prix had been trapped by several 4X4 trucks.
The drivers of the trucks said that Timothy Ray and Brian Friar,
both of Jonesboro, had kicked the tailgate of a truck, owned
by Jimmy Don Williams of Marion. Ray and Friar were reportedly
both intoxicated and began cussing and screaming at the police
officers. Friar gave the name of Thomas Williams and was found
to have previous warrants out under that name in Jonesboro. Friar
and Ray were both arrested for public intoxication and were taken
to Craighead County Jail.
- Linda Thomas of Jonesboro reported that the filing drawer
of her desk had been tampered with. She said that the drawer
contained all student records for marketing manager majors. Thomas
said she does not know if anything had been stolen.
- Robert Weber of Collegiate Park reported the damage of his
driver's side door of his vehicle.
Friday, Oct. 19, 2001
- A female of Arkansas Hall reported harassing messages
on her answering machine. She said soon after that an unknown
person came into the bathroom and turned the lights out while
she was in the shower.
Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001
- Christopher Clark of Caruthersville, Mo., reported
the breaking and entering of his vehicle.
