Comedian George Carlin shocks audience
with new material

George Carlin walked quickly across the stage Friday night
in the River Palace Entertainment Center in Tunica. He had a
slouched posture and a quick walk not characteristic of the average
63-year-old man.

Indians rout New Mexico State in
baseball
Arkansas State scores 13 runs in the fourth inning and went
on to cruise to a 21-5 victory over New Mexico State on Sunday
afternoon to complete the Sun Belt conference weekend.

High School students from around Arkansas and surrounding
states gathered at the Fowler Performing Arts Center Grand Hall
on Wednesday to learn what campus organizations are available
to incoming freshmen. Some of the exhibits included the Baptist
Student Union, the Office of Financial Aid and the National Panhellenic
Council. The event was a part of Preview Day where potential
students are given tours of the campus and information about
coming to Arkansas State University.
