A confrontation between Edwin Duane Alvin, a senior criminology major of Jonesboro, Bonnie Thrasher, The Herald adviser, and University Police Officer Bill Brown, led to Alvin's arrest Friday. Student judicial records are open under FOIA

University student disciplinary records are not considered scholastic records and must be disclosed under the state's Freedom of Information Act, according to a recent attorney general opinion.
