Terms of Payment
Credit must be established with our office before charges
will be made. Bills are sent at the end of each month and due
upon receipt. No advertising will be accepted from accounts more
than 30 days past due. All political and classified advertising
is payable in advance and non-refundable.
Advertising Content Policies
1. Not accepted: Advertising of abortion or adoption
agencies, firearms, "work at home" ads, contraceptive
devices, financial aid services, alcoholic beverages or any form
of tobacco products. The Herald reserves the right to refuse
any advertising for content reasons.
2. Any advertising material that could be construed
as editorial copy will be prominantly marked "advertising."
3. The Herald may print Public Service Announcements
when space is available.
Cancellation Date
Cancellation must occur foru working days prior to publication.
Cancellations made past cancellatoin date will be billed in full.
Errors
Every effort is made to avoid errors including offering proofing
services to the advertiser. Any error which occurs in an ad that
has been proofed by the advertiser will not be corrected at the
expense of The Herald.
Errors occurring in ads that are the fault of The Herald's
advertising staff will be corrected if the error is substantial
and is likely to contribute to loss of business for the advertiser.
For example, an incorrect phone number or price will be corrected.
A misspelled street name will not be corrected.
Advertising Copy Deadline
Display advertising copy is due one week before the date
of publication. Advertising is sold on a first-come, first-served
basis, so reserve your space early. Classified advertisements
accompanied by payment are due three business days prior to publication.
